PURPOSE:To improve riding comfort, maneuverability and stability by using in parallel combination a main damper and a sub-damper with damping forces of the latter variable between a damping force greater than that of the main damper and zero. CONSTITUTION:A control unit calculates a lateral G based on inputted steering angle and vehicle speed. And only when the lateral G is a specified value, for example 0.3G, or greater, an actuator is excited to make a damping force of a variable damping force sub-damper 12L (18L) greater. Arranging the sub- damper and the main damper in such a combination and controlling the respective dampers, riding comfort, maneuverability and stability can be improved. |
