PURPOSE:To fractionate a distribution area, by finding the projection with the maximum value of a binarization color distribution image, finding a minimum value in the two maximum value sections of the projection with the maximum value, and finding the binarization image by a value larger than the minimum value again. CONSTITUTION:A two-dimensional color distribution image 2 is generated based on the lightness and the color difference of an input color image 1. The image 2 is binarized with a slice level set in advance, and is converted to a binarization image 3. When the distribution ranges of the image 3 corresponding to the lightness and the color difference of each distribution area exceed a constant value set in advance, the projection 4 with the maximum value of the color distribution image within the distribution range in the direction can be found. The minimum value in the two maximum position sections of an obtained projection with the maximum value can be found, and by binarization 5 with the value larger than the minimum value again, the fractionization of the color distribution area can be performed, then, an area divided data 6 can be obtained. |
