<p>PURPOSE:To assure sufficient gas-permeability for culture and prevent the contamination with bacteria, by pressing a heat-resistant rubber cap against an opening of a vessel, boring a cap opening to the top face of the rubber cap and applying a microporous film to the cap opening. CONSTITUTION:A heat-resistant rubber cap 7 is composed of a top plate 14 and a skirt 10 extending downward from the outer circumference of the top plate. A cap opening 8 is bored to the top plate 14 and the inner diameter of the skirt 10 is made to be slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the opening of the tissue culture vessel 1. The rubber cap 7 is applied to the vessel opening and made to contact closely to the outer circumference of the vessel opening to inhibit the intrusion of air except for through the cap opening 8. A microporous film 5 made of a hydrophobic film such as polypropylene is directly or indirectly applied to the cap opening 8 to supply the vessel only with air passed through the film 5. The tissue culture means having the above structure has sufficiently high air-permeability for the culture of tissue and enables the tissue culture without causing the drying of the medium and contamination with bacteria.</p> |
