Panic lock with a latch and bolt which can be closed by a single turn from the inside and outside of the door by means of the locking bit of the key or lock cylinder and which can be retracted out of the extended blocking position by means of an inner rotary handle, the inner rotary handle engaging on one part of a two-part lock follower which is held by springs in the stop-limited basic position and which has formed-on arms for the actuation of the spring-loaded latch and of a pivoting lever engaging on the bolt and a spring-loaded tumbler displaceable transversely relative to the bolt, whilst the free-running second part of the lock follower receiving the outer rotary handle can be coupled to the first part of the lock follower by means of a pivotable coupling lever, and the coupling lever can be transferred into the operative position counter to the effect of a spring by key actuation, the transfer of the coupling lever into the coupling position taking place by means of a pivotably and displaceably mounted slide which, at one end, is operatively connected to the coupling lever and with the other end, with the bolt retracted, projects into the path of movement of the locking bit and can be transferred into the operative position counter to the effect of a spring by means of the locking bit and fixed in the operative position by interlocking on the pivoting lever coupling the bolt to the lock follower, and ... by transfer of the bolt into the blocking position...
