PURPOSE:To simplify composition and enable production cost reduction and mass production by utilizing a motor rotary shaft as a rotary encoder shaft, upper and lower plates as rotary discs and incorporating encoder mechanism in a body with fans. CONSTITUTION:Magnets 5 are mounted on the outside edge of a subplate 2 and magnetism sensors 6 are provided in the vicinity of and for the magnets 5. And ray passage holes 7 and 7 of proper size are provided in alignment on the outside edge of upper and lower plates 1 and 2. A light emitting element 8 is set in a ray hole 7, and a light receiving element 10 is set in another ray hole 7 through a fixed disk 9. The rotary shaft 11 of a motor M is utilized as a rotary encoder shaft, and upper and lower plate 1 and 2 are as rotary discs. The practical manufacture of encoder fans with an encoder mechanism incorporated in the composition of motor direct-coupled fans enables simple composition, production cost reduction, and mass production.
