PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity of a photosensitive body and to stabilize the potential characteristic in repetitive use by incorporating a specific disazo pigment into a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The disazo pigment which is expressed by formula I and permits formation of a film exhibiting a photoconductive characteristic is incorporated into the photoconductive layer. In formula, Z is C, N', R1 is H, nitroso, alkyl, etc.; R2, R3 are H, halogen, cyano, etc.; A1, A2 are coupler residues having a phenolic OH group and are preferably formula II, III. In formulas II, III, X is a residue necessary for forming a polycyclic arom. ring or hetero ring by condensation with a benzene ring; R4, R6 are H, alkyl, aryl, etc.; R9 is alkyl, aryl, aralky. The photosensitive body which has high sensitivity and exhibits the excellent potential stability even after repeated uses is thereby obtd. |
