The invention concerns a preserving agent for growth fodder containing a pH-reducing agent and, if appropriate, other preservatives. When using conventional pH-reducing agents for preserving fodder, there are, inter alia, difficulties in metering, losses of material and gas formation. These difficulties can be reduced by using a novel pH-reducing agent, a ferric salt. Ferric salt, preferably ferric chloride, can be used either as such or together with other agents. |
