PURPOSE:To uniformly bring into contact a recording head with a platen under pressure, by fixing a reinforcing member composed of material quality having coefficient of thermal expansion more approximate to that of the recording head as compared with a head holding member to the head holding member on the side opposite to the recording head holding side thereof. CONSTITUTION:A head holding member 2 is constituted of plastic having heat resistance such as polycarbonate and a recording head 3 is mounted to the thin wall part 2f of said holding member 2. The head presser 5 for fixing the recording head to the head holding member 2 is constituted of sheet metal and engaging pawls 5c each having a predetermined arm length are integrally formed to both ends of a fixing part 5b having several rivet holes 5a in the longitudinal direction thereof. A reinforcing plate 18 uses a zinc hot dipping steel plate having coefficient of thermal expansion more approximate to that of the material quality of the recording head as compared with the material quality of the holding member 2 and is constituted so as not to generate warpage in the recording head unit even at the time of temp. change. Since the recording head unit generates no warpage even at the time of temp. change and the recording head is always pressed uniformly and can be certainly brought into contact with a recording sheet, good recording can be performed. |
