In a socket joint for heat-insulated line pipes, in which the plastic socket pipe is welded under pressure to the plastic outer lateral surface of the heat-insulated line pipe by an electric heated tool, the pressure on the weld is exerted from outside by a plastic strap which shrinks when heat is applied.
