<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity for performing trimming work or the like of an external burr, by forming a link for connecting a caterpillar chain by blockading forging. CONSTITUTION:The first process, in which a link material 11 composed of a round bar or the like is heated to a necessary temperature or more, performs rough forging by using a blockable roughing mold 12 restricting its periphery, and the rough shape of a link is generated. In the second process, finish forging, correcting the distribution of material, is performed by blockade forging in a metal mold enclosed by the periphery and the upper and the bottom. The third process, in which a finish-shaped article 17 drills holes in a necessary location by a drawing punch, extracts a material, left remaining in the hole location, to be removed, and a link 19, being the final product, is formed.</p> |
