Device for feeding bar stock

摘要

A device for feeding bar stock to a work spindle of a lathe, with a carrier which extends in the feed direction and on which at least one holder is displaceably guided in the feed direction. In order to improve this device in such a way that lesser demands have to be imposed on the bar geometry and in addition there is less tendency to oscillate or vibrate, it is proposed that the holder be a feeding chuck accommodating the opposite end of the bar stock from the work spindle and that the bar stock be rotatable free of support between this feeding chuck and a front carrier end facing the lathe.
