A solar collector, capable of being manufactured from inexpensive and universally obtainable semi-finished products with a minimum of production equipment, consisting of two mutually parallel metal plates (2) which are welded close together at their edge and, if necessary, separated by spacers (5). Arranged between an inlet (3) and outlet (4) is a flow-guiding plate (7), for example made from netting wire or expanded metal, which ensures a favourable and uniform flow through the collector. <IMAGE>
