PURPOSE:To obtain a writing property and image quality having high grade feeling and to enhance water resistance and scratch resistance, by applying a mat layer consisting of an ester resin soluble in an org. solvent and a specific amount of a mat agent with respect to said resin to the single side of a transparent support. CONSTITUTION:A mat layer consisting of an ester resin soluble in an org. solvent and 0.5-20wt% of said resin of a mat agent is provided to the single surface of a transparent support, and a bottom coat layer, a thermal recording layer and an overcoat layer are provided to the opposite side of the support in this order. As the mat agent in the above-mentioned mat layer, an inorg. fine particle composed of CaCO3 or MgCO3 and an org. fine particle made of polypropylene or an acrylonitrile copolymer can be used alone or in a blended form. As the ester resin soluble in the org. solvent, an ethylene terephthalate/ butylene terephthalate copolymer is most excellent. |
