Title compds. I (Ar=unsubstituted pheny1, naphty1, halo, C1-C6 alky1, cycloalky1, trifluoromethy1, C1-C6 alkoxy, alkylthio, pheny1, benzy1, cyano, amino: Im=unsubstituted 1-H-imidazol-1-y1, halogeno, C1-C4 alky1, alkoxy; Y=C1-C12 aliph., hydrocarvy1, -Z-Ar; Z=0, S, So, SO2) and their salts were prepd. for use as bacteriocides and fungicides. Thus, 2,4-dichloro-d-(imidazol-1-y1)propiophenone in hexamethylphosphoric acid triamide was treated with NaH, followed by the addn. of chlorodimethylether to give 1-(2,4-dichloropheny1)-(methoxy-methoxy)-2-(imidazol-1-y1)propene. |
