PURPOSE:To improve the quality of printing by enabling a drive time to be regulated according to each characteristic of a print head, by providing a RAM backed up by a battery capable of being rewrited and a switch in a circuit. CONSTITUTION:When printing information is outputted from a CPU 1, print trigger width information is outputted from a RAM 3 backed up by a battery 3 according to the number of drive pins and inputted to a timer 4. A LOW signal S1 according to the print trigger width information is outputted from this timer 4. Then, this signal S1 is inputted to a print head drive circuit 5. A drive time S4 is obtained. At this stage, some dispersion occurs in the S4 caused by the dispersion of a circuit element 6. Therefore, the dispersion can be corrected by rewriting the contents of the RAM 3 by using a setting switch 12. |
