PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent image by arranging a light transmissible conductor between a liquid crystal display part and a fluorescent lamp and electrostatically shielding the fluorescent lamp. CONSTITUTION:A diffusion plate 14, a wire gauze 15 and a U-shaped fluorescent lamp 16 generating white light are arranged on the rear face of a liquid crystal display part 11 with prescribed intervals. A reflecting plate 17 having a reflecting face in its inside is formed so as to cover the fluorescent lamp 16. Thereby, white light radiated from a fluorescent lamp 16 is reflected by the reflecting plate 17 or directly passed through the wire gauze 15 and diffused by the diffusion plate 14 to radiate the back face of the display part 11. When voltage is selectively impressed to matrix-like electrodes on the display a part 11 in accordance with an input TV signal, a TV image is displayed on the display face. Although deterioration in picture quality such as the generation of a stripe pattern on a display image is generated by the electrostatic discharge of the fluorescent lamp 16, the deterioration in picture quality can be suppressed by electrostatically shielding the fluorescent lamp 16 and an excellent image can be always obtained. |
