PURPOSE:To improve the cell efficiency and to prevent the deterioration of the cell property, by driving an electrolyte circulation pump when the discharge voltage drops below a standard voltage, or when the temperature in a reaction jar rises above a standard temperature. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature in a reaction jar 44 rises as the self- discharge proceeds, the temperature is detected by a temperature sensor 54, and compared with a preset standard temperature of the higher side, 40 deg.C, for example, in a hysteresis comparator 58. In this case, when the detected temperature is lower than the higher side standard temperature, a pump 48 is kept in a stopped condition. When it is higher than the standard temperature, the ON signal is output to a pump driving unit 60, regardless of the on or off signal delivered from the first comparison/arithmetic device 56, and the pump is driven to circulate the electrolyte. |
