<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the durability of a rim set and its operating easiness by furnishing a carcass consisting of an inner and an outer carcass ply, installing two chafers for reinforcement of the bead part, and specifying the height of each chafer from the bottom of the bead part. CONSTITUTION:A radial tire is provided with a carcass 8 consisting of an inner and an outer carcass ply 2, 3 and two chafers 5, 6 reinforcing the bead part 4. At this time, the mean distances B1, B2 at the bead part 4 between inner wall surfaces 14 shall exceed 0.16 with respect to the width W of bead 4. The heights H1, H2 of the bead part 4 of the chafers 5, 6 shall be so set that (A1+A2)/2<=H1<A3, A2<=H2<A3, where A1-A3 represent the distances of the bottom surface 15 of the bead part 4 from the bottom and top of the bead core 10 anf from the tip of bead epex 11.</p> |
