PURPOSE:To sharply reduce load to be applied to a host computer by connecting a batch processor to the host computer and a file memory to be accessed by the host computer through a system bus and executing the batch processing of large volume of data stored in the file memory by an exclusive processor. CONSTITUTION:The batch processor 5 having an exclusive work disk device 53 is connected to a CPU 1 in a main processor and the file memory 3 through a system bus 4 and the batch processing of large volume of data stored in the file memory 3 is independently executed by the processor exclusively used for batch processing. Consequently, the load applied to the CPU 1 in the main processor can be sharply reduced and the performance of the whole system can be improved. The batch processing of the large volume of data can be also applied to the large volume of data to be applied to other processing in common in addition to data processing such as sort, algebraic operation of functions and set operation. |
