PURPOSE:To keep a seal body from overflowing by providing a seal groove with a surface inclined by less than 90 degrees relative to the axis formed on the back thereof positioned in the rear in the acting direction of pressure and providing a seal body fitted in the seal groove with an angle portion of the side of the seal body that opposes to the inclined surface, which is positioned inward the open edge of the seal groove. CONSTITUTION:A seal groove X is a parallelogram in section, and has an inclined surface 4 which is positioned in the rear relative to the acting direction of pressure and inclined by less than 90 degrees relative to the axis. A seal body Y fitted in the above seal groove X is substantially U-shaped in section, and provided with a pair of lip portions 5, 6. The lip portion 5 contacting a slide member 7 is longer than the other lip portion 6 positioned on the side of the base of the seal groove X. The seal body Y has an inclined surface 8 opposite to the inclined surface 4, and an angle portion 9 on the open side of the seal groove X, which is positioned a little inward the open edge 10 of the seal groove X. |
