PURPOSE:To obtain only a product solution without using a screen, etc., by reacting a granular immobilized material with a raw material solution in a reaction column, raising the formed solution at a lower rising speed than the settling speed of the granular immobilized material in a liquid discharging part and separating the solution from the immobilized material. CONSTITUTION:A granular immobilized material immobilizing microorganisms and/or enzymes on a carrier is filled in a reaction column 1 and a raw material solution is fed from a raw material solution feed port 4. A gas is then blown from a feeding means 5 at >=0.1cm/sec superficial liner velocity to carry out reaction. The raw material solution, etc., after rising the inner cylinder 2 are circulated so as to descend in a clearance between the outer wall of the inner cylinder and the inner wall of the reaction column to carry out the reaction during the time. The resultant product solution is led to a liquid discharging part 7 provided on the outside of the column 1 to rise therein. At this time, the solution rising speed is 50-95% of the settling speed of the granular immobilized material and continuously taken out of a discharge outlet 9 to return the immobilized material to the reaction column 1. The grain diameter of the immobilized material is 1-5mm and the specific gravity thereof is 1.05-1.5.
