PURPOSE:To permit a smooth change between a usual differential movement and a restriction of a differential movement from a driver's seat in any case, by threadedly engaging a differential movement changing cylinder with a ring nut to lock a rotational direction by a rotation stop member and disposing it without fixing in such a manner that it can be inclined. CONSTITUTION:When a wheel on a side is in a mud place or on a frozen road, rotational torque is not transmitted to a wheel on the other side and then an automobile cannot travel. Then, when a driver indicates a change of a flow passage from a driver's seat, a pressurized fluid is introduced into a cylinder 8 through a fluid passage 16 of a carrier cover 15 and movable joint. Consequently, a pressing force of a piston 4 overcomes a force of a return spring 28 to cause a slide sleeve 13 and a pressure plate 12 to be forced to the right hand direction through a roller bearing 14 so that a friction clutch 5 is brought into close contact to be a differential movement restricting condition for avoiding a traveling impossible condition. Next, when the driver indicates a change of the flow passage, the pressurized fluid is changed to a drain pressure to remove a pressing force of the piston 4 for recovering a usual differential condition. Here, the fluid passage is connected by the movable joint to securely transmit a fluid pressure for effecting the change smoothly.
