发明名称 INSTRUMENT FOR MEASURING POLARIZATION OF FLUORESCENT LIGHT
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of analysis with simple constitution by disposing analyzers on the symmetrical axis of an excitation optical axis in the symmetrical positions and at 90 deg. angle with each other. CONSTITUTION:The exit light from a light source 1 for exciting a sample is spectrally split by an excitation side spectroscope 2 and is polarized by a polarizer 3 to excite the sample 4. The fluorescence generated in the sample 4 by such excitation enters the analyzers 5, 6 which maintain 90 deg. angle with each other. Parallel components I1, I2 of the fluorescence selectively pass the analyzers 5, 6. After the fluorescence is spectrally split by fluorescent side spectroscopes 7, 8, the fluorescent intensities are measured by detection system 9, 10. The results of meausurement are then transmitted to a calculator 11 by which the degree of polarization of the fluoresence is detected. Since there is no need for alternately rotating the analyzers to 0 deg. and 90 deg., the time for measurement is shortened and the efficiency of the analysis is improves.
