Prodn. line for manufacture of filter masks is claimed. The masks are punched from a roll of material, and a nose piece and straps are fitted. In the final stage, the mask is formed against a moulding anvil. The masks are produced from multilayer flexible material where at least one layer contains electrically charged particles e.g. microfibres. Some layers of the material are fed over a roller and some pass under the roller. This prevents air bubbles forming in later stages. The sheets are heated before passing under the cutting roller. The profiles are sucked into a storage magazine. In the next stage, buckles are glued into position and straps fitted. The third stage glues the nosepiece onto the contour. On completion of this operation, the piece holding the contour lifts upwards to press the contour against a curved anvil. This forms the mask profile. |
