PURPOSE:To inform the time to be exchanged of a toner tank to an operator with a simple constitution, by detecting and displaying a toner end by utilizing the number of times of operation of a toner feeding member, or an operating means relating to the member. CONSTITUTION:When a toner replenishing signal is generated, a toner replenishing solenoid 56b is energized, and a rotor 53 is started to rotate, and the replenishment of the toner is performed. In such a case, the number of times of operation of the toner replenishing solenoid 56b is counted (plus one) by a pre-set counter. The similar operation is repeated at every issuing of the toner replenishing signal, and the toner is refilled at every time, and the count value of the pre-set counter is increased one by one. When the count value of the counter arrives at the number of times of end stipulated in advance, that is the prescribed number of times when the toner in the toner tank 51 becomes vacant, or less than a prescribed quantity, a toner end signal is generated, and based on the signal, a display unit 121 is operated, and the toner end to inform the exchange of the toner tank is displayed on the display unit 121. |
