<p>The apparatus is a hydraulic ram adapted to generate a water hammering phenomenon by operating a shock-wave operation valve, and lift the water to a high place by means of an impulse force occurring in a pipe. Owing to such an operation of the apparatus, the dimensions thereof can be minimized. By generating electric power by utilizing the head of water drawn up by this hydraulic ram, restrictions on the site of construction of a power plant can be removed.</p> |
