A method and apparatus to produce a self-contained sealed body (100) which has either planar or cylindrical walls (1, 1') with the planar or cylindrical walls being capable of providing for thermal and acoustic insulation by a check valve (40) that is connected to the aforesaid chambers and adapted to achieve periodic evacuation of the chambers. Also, taught by the invention is an embodiment where an additional chamber is available with supplemental chamber adapted to carry an energy containing fluid. |
