The invention relates to a method for protecting wooden parts against decay, insect damage and/or fire, in which the wooden parts are impregnated by means of a suitable protective solution, the excess solution is allowed to drip off the wooden parts and the wooden parts are then dried. The wooden parts are subjected to continuous movement, in particular along their longitudinal dimension, during impregnation, dripping off and drying. During drying, the wooden parts can be heated to about 30 to 50 DEG C. The speed at which the wooden parts are moved is 2 to 20 cm/s. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method.
