PURPOSE:To secure such a container that is suitable for a cell using an organic nonaqueous solvent, by making it consist of moldings of a polymeric liquid crystal compound. CONSTITUTION:When moldings of a polymeric liquid crystal compound are used as a cell container using an organic nonaqueous solvent, a conventional metal container is entirely replaceable to polymeric materials. As for a cell to be applied, it is a primary cell or a secondary cell using an organic electrolyte solution dissolving an electrolyte in the organic nonaqueous solvent, and bascically, it consists of an organic solvent dissolving both positive and negative electrodes and the electrolyte. As for the polymeric crystal compound, all polymeric crystal compounds capable of forming moldings are enumerated.
