An external impulse-producing component produces and transmits a shock wave to the outer surface of the chamber wall which spreads inwards. A movable body is placed in contact with the inner surface of the wall aligned with the position of the impulse-producing component. The shock wave sets the body in motion, and activates an ignition system within the chamber. The impulse-producing component comprises an explosive charge and the movable body is placed in a casing fixed to the inner surface of the chamber wall. Under the effect of a spring it locates in the rest position against the wall inner surface. The movement of the body breaks or closes an electrical circuit to activate the ignition system.
