<p>PURPOSE:To detect the tipping of a coordinate indicating tool by an electric means, by providing the proximity detecting means of the coordinate indicating tool which counts the number of times exceeding an output level set in advance in one time of scanning by the absolute value of the output of a detected signal, and transfers an operation to a coordinate detecting operation when the number of times is counted for two times. CONSTITUTION:In a conventional coordinate input device, the proximity detecting means of the coordinate indicating tool consisting of a pickup proximity recognizing register 31 connected to the control circuit 10 of the device, and a comparator 32 which compares the output voltage of a sample/hold amplifier 11, with the voltage of a power source 33 which sets a threshold voltage VTH, and outputs a compared result to the control circuit 10, is provided. The fact that the absolute value of a signal level detected by the coordinate indicating tool exceeds the output level set in advance for two times in one scanning, is detected. In this way, since the absolute value does not exceed the output level for two times in one scanning if the tipping of the coordinate indicating tool is generated, it is possible to detect the tipping of the coordinate indicating tool electrically.</p> |
