PURPOSE:To simply, safely surely charge secondary batteries alone by winding one turn a conductive contact which has the width longer than the height of a primary battery on the outer side of a case, and connecting in series the conductive contact to a charging circuit which connects secondary battereis and a charging power source. CONSTITUTION:One contact 17 of secondary battery detecting contacts 16, 17 is connected to an output terminal 18 of a d.c.power source 13, and the other contact 16 to a positive connecting terminal 2 of a case 1. The distance lbetween the contacts 16 17 is almost eqaul to the width L of a conductive contact 11. The distance l is larger than the height of an ordinary primary battery. Where secondary batteries are mounted between connectors 21, 22, a switch 15 is switched over to a charging circuit 12 side, the detecting terminals 16, 17 form short circuit with the conductive contact 11 to close the charging circuit 12, and charging current is supplied from a d.c. power source 13. Where primary batteries are mounted between the connectors 21, 22, even if the switch 15 is switched over to the charging circuit 12 side by mistake, no charging current is supplied to the primary batteries because no conductive contact 11 exists between the detecting contacts. |
