PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fiber having the improved heat resistance by using a specific polymer as a core component and by incorporating a phosphorous contg. hindered phenol compd. to the polymer of the core component. CONSTITUTION:The polymer constituting the core component of the titled fiber is composed of the polymer of polymethylmethacrylate copolymerized with 5-40mol% methacrylate having 8-20 C alicyclic hydrocarbon group as an essential component. The polymer of the core component contains the phosphorus contg. hindered phenol compd. The polymer constituting a sheath component of the titled fiber has a lower refractive index than that of the polymer of the core component and is composed of a fluorine contg. polymer. Thus, the titled fiber having the improved thermoresisting property, without damaging translucency and mechanical property of the titled fiber, is obtd. |
