PURPOSE:To make it possible to display optical spectrum in a short time, by simultaneously receiving dispersed light beams from a diffraction element with detecting elements, and sequentially scanning the detected outputs. CONSTITUTION:Incident light 12 through an incident slit 21 is diffracted and reflected with a diffraction grating 20 in accordance with wavelengths. Detecting elements 23-1-23-n in a detector 22 output voltages at levels corresponding to the intensities of the light beams having the different wavelengths to terminals 25-1-25-n. An electronic scanner 26 sequentially scans the terminals 25 and sends a signal through a terminal 27. The signal is applied to a terminal Y of an image receiving tube 29 through an amplifier circuit 28. A signal corresponding to the scanning position is outputted from a terminal 30 of the scanner 26 and applied to a terminal X of the image receiving tube 29 through an amplifier circuit 31. Thus the graph of the spectrum of the light is displayed on the image receiving tube. |
