PURPOSE:To increase covering power and to decrease staining of a roller, etc., by incorporating a surface latent image type silver halide emulsion contg. silver iodide and silver halide emulsion having fogging in the particles into a silver halide emulsion layer and incorporating two kinds of specific compd. into an auxiliary layer. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide emulsion layer of a silver halide photographic sensitive material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer on at least one side of a base and at least one auxiliary layer adjacent to the silver halide emulsion layer contains the surface latent image type silver halide emulsion contg. the silver ioide and the silver halide emulsion having the fogging in the particles. The auxiliary layer contains the compd. expressed by formula I and the compd. expressed by formula II. The auxiliary layer refers to photographic constituting layers except the silver halide emulsion layer; for example, a backing layer, halation preventive layer, intermediate layer, protective layer, filter layer, under coating layer, etc. The antistatic performance is thereby improved, the covering power is increased and the staining of the roller, etc. in processing are decreased. |
