The present invention relates to a transportation vehicle for prefabricated garages, with a loading area along which guide rails extend. Guided in a longitudinally displaceable manner in the guide rails is a loading crane with a carriage. The loading crane has a tower on which a double-armed telescopic jib is mounted such that it can swivel around a horizontal axis and the telescopic end of which is provided with a load-bearing head which in the transportation position protrudes through the garage opening whereas the opposite end of the telescopic jib is connected in an articulated manner to the tower above the swivelling axis by means of an actuating drive. In order to ensure amongst other things that the loading area is better utilised, it is provided according to the invention that the loading crane is of essentially L-shaped design when viewing the vehicle from the side. The tower of the loading crane forms the vertical L-leg whereas the carriage forms the horizontal L-leg, directed towards the vehicle rear. In the region of the horizontal L-leg, the top side of the carriage is arranged approximately level with the loading area. The swivelling axis is arranged in a manner such that it forms a clearance spaced apart vertically from the top side of the carriage.
