PURPOSE:To facilitate the alteration of the kinds of machines, to reduce required memory capacity and cost to a large extent and, further, to perform conversion work at a high speed, by a method wherein the second lookup table for colors Y, M, C is provided and gradation data showing hues is written in said table and referred to at the time of printing to read the gradation data of each color. CONSTITUTION:A random access memory RAM3 as the second lookup table, the C-flip-flop 4 controlling the reading and writing of said memory, an YMC register 5, an address decoder 7 and other gates are provided and the conversion relative to the hue number corresponding to the use state at that time and the gradations of Y, M, C is written in the second lookup table as each color gradation data at the first time. By this constitution, the correspondence to the alteration of the kind of CRT, a printer or a ribbon can be easily taken by the initial setting of the second lookup table. Further, the capacity of the second lookup table may be 256 X 3 = 768 bites even when three colors are combined and is small to a large extent as compared with a conventional frame memory for Y, M, C. |
