The invention relates to a ring with a balance weight for a vehicle wheel with a pneumatic tyre, in which the tyre beads are arranged on the radially inner circumference of a rigid rim, and in which the space laterally on the inside of the tyre bead, serving as a raised mounting base, is taken up by a covering ring. In order to achieve simple balancing and a secure fit of the balancing means, it is proposed that the ring can be driven into a groove on the tyre bead and/or on the covering ring, and that its cross-sectional shape corresponds essentially to that of the groove.
