PURPOSE:To simplify a bearing structure for an idle gear of a starter, by setting a bearing for the idle gear of the starter tight to a locking part installed in a switch case or a housing with both ends fitted in an axial direction. CONSTITUTION:A housing 1 and a switch case 2 of a starter is provided with each of concave parts 1a and 2a in which a bearing 8 is fitted and locked. When a switch of the starter gets closed, a motor starts its rotation whereby a gear 7 makes a drive gear 9 rotate via an idle gear 6 sliding with the bearing 8. And, what is more, with a solenoid switch, a pinion 10 moves forward and couples with a ring gear of an internal-combustion engine which is therefore ignited. When the switch of the starter is opened, the pinion 10 goes back and stops. Like this, the number of component parts of the bearing comes to one piece alone and, on top of that such a stage of work as pressing it in the housing 1 or the switch case 2 is no longer required, that is, it can be locked only in a way of being fitted in these concave parts 1a and 2a installed in the housing 1 and the switch case 2. |
