<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent blocking in the case of a heavy traffic in the local area network operated in the asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) including plural network interfaces and sending cells. SOLUTION: At least two ring systems including network interfaces each two (85,89; 86,90) and bridge connections (83,84; 87,88) are provided in the local area network. The 1st network interface (85) of the 1st ring system and the 1st network interface (86) of the 2nd ring system are coupled with the two ring systems via the 1st bridge connection (83, 84) to deliver a cell stream to the two ring systems, and the 2nd network interface (89) of the 1st ring system and the 2nd network interface (90) of the 2nd ring system are coupled with the two ring systems via the 2nd bridge connection (87, 88) to deliver a cell stream to the two ring systems.</p> |
