PURPOSE:To adjust image density freely at an optional part on a photosensitive drum by providing an image erasing means which varies the charge amount of an electrostatically charged photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:Resistances R1-R3 are selected for light emitting diodes D1-Dn arranged at a batch image formation part through a latch driver 20 under the control of a CPU21. When the resistance R1 is selected for all the light emitting bodies D1-Dn, the largest currents flow through the light emitting diodes D1-Dn and the electrostatic charge of the photosensitive drum is erased completely, so that no image is formed. Further, when the resistance 2 is selected for all the light emitting diodes D1-dn, small currents flow through them and the charge of the photosensitive drum drops to a certain extent, thereby obtaining a thin image. When the resistance value 3 with a larger value is selected, a thicker image of the batch image formation part is obtained. |
