The heat exchanger for an automobile heating or cooling circuit comprises an elongated rectangular plate manifold. The manifold is sealed to a fluid casing (1) to delimit an internal volume (3) containing the heating fluid. Many openings (11) enable passage of fluid circulation tubes (12) communicating with the internal volume. The plate manifold receives in an annular peripheral channel (4) the thickened peripheral edge (8) of the fluid casing and, if need be, a sealing joint (9) compressed between the edge and the channel bottom (7). A reinforcing grille in the shape of a ladder comprises two longitudinal bars (15). The bars are housed in the channel along two large sides of the plate manifold, connected together by cross members (14). |
