PURPOSE:To immediately start and continue the automatic operation of an air cleaner even if smoking is started just after the charge of an electric source, by presetting the shortmost time in continuing the action of an apparatus by means of ultraviolet ray detection of an ultraviolet ray sensor longer than the time incapable of use of a gas sensor. CONSTITUTION:A gas sensor 26 detecting the air contamination in a room, an ultraviolet ray sensor 27 detecting the start of smoking, and a controlling circuit 30 performing automatic operation of an apparatus 32 by the output of these sensors are provided. In other words, the gas sensor 26 can not be used at a fixed time after the charge of an electric source, the ultraviolet ray sensor 27 can be used at a nearly same time as the charge of the electric source, and the shortmost time in continuing the action of the apparatus 32 by ultraviolet ray detection of the ultraviolet ray sensor is preset longer than the time incapable of use of the gas sensor. As a result, when smoking is started just at the charge of the electric source, the ignition flame is immediately detected and an air cleaner starts action and thereafter can continue automatic operation in accordance with the concn. of gas, thus automatic operating function having quick-response properties and being high in usability is obtained. |
