<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the incidence of characteristic X rays on a detector and to improve to picture quality of a CT image by extending a separator plate between detecting elements to the front of a detector. CONSTITUTION:The separator plate 4 is protruded upward from the top surface of a fluorescent body 1 and a separator support material 3 is provided on the top surface of the fluorescent body 1. Characteristic X rays from above pass through the support material 3 and are incident on the fluorescent body 1 and converted into light. The light is converted by a photodiode 2 into a current, which is outputted as a signal current. Characteristic X rays which are incident slantingly strike on the separator plate 4 and are absorbed by it. Consequently, the incidence of characteristic X rays on the detector is reduced and the picture quality of the CT image is improved.</p> |
