摘要 PURPOSE:To generate large transmission torque, by forming fine ruggedness in a fitting surface of a press fit member with a recessed groove and filling the fitting surface with a friction reducing agent placed in a solidified condition, in the case of a power transmitting device which tightens shafts to each other or the shaft to a rotary unit in a transmitting condition. CONSTITUTION:A fitting surface in a press fit member 2 with a recessed groove 10, that is, an internal peripheral surface of the press fit member 2 and its peripheral surface continuously form fine ruggedness, and each of fine recessed part of said surfaces is filled with a friction reducing agent 4 being placed in a solidified condition. If said press fit member 2 is forced to be inserted into the recessed groove 10 of a rightening unit 1, a transmitting device forces the internal peripheral surface of the press fit member 2 and its peripheral surface by the action of a tapered fitting part to be brought into contact respectively with an internal peripheral surface 12 of the tightening unit 1 and its peripheral wall 11, but the friction reducing agent 4, being distributed to the whole area of these forced contact surfaces, reduces sliding resistance of the forced contact surfaces with each other. Accordingly, transmitting torque, when press fitting force of the press fit member 2 is set to a fixed value, increases to a large value as compared with the torque in the device which interposes no friction reducing agent 4.
