<p>PURPOSE:To surely fix colored particles and to prevent color clouding by impressing a voltage between a substrate and counter electrode in an insulating solvent in which the colored particles are dispersed and depositing the colored particles on the substrate in compliance with the conductive patterns formed thereon. CONSTITUTION:The conductive patterns of 1st groups 2a, 2b, 2c, 2nd groups 3a, 3b, 3c, and 3rd groups 4a, 4b are formed on the substrate 1 having an electrical insulating characteristic. The patterned surface of the substrate 1 and the counter electrode 5 are opposed to each other and the colored particles are disposed in a liquid dispersion dispersed in the electrical insulating solvent. A switch 7 is then closed to impress the voltage and to move the colored particles on; for example, the patterns 2a, 2b, 2c so that deposits 8a, 8b, 8c are formed. The excess colored particles on the substrate 1 and the electrode 5 are washed away and the substrate is dried. The red, green and blue colored layers are formed by repeating such operation. The color sepn. filter obtd. in such a manner is provided as a color sepn. filter layer 8 on a photosensitive layer 10 and is used for formation of multi-color images.</p> |
