PURPOSE:To correct an assumed vehicle position based on the more correct vehicle position even though a received wave is incomplete and enable effective path guide to be performed by correcting the assumed vehicle position based on a tunnel position. CONSTITUTION:A hybrid position measuring means 1 is composed of a global positioning system (GPS) receiver, a range sensor, a bearing sensor and a CPU. First, the present vehicle position is obtained while correcting an assumed position obtained by integrating a unit running vector by the means 1 based on a position measured by a radio wave. Then, vehicle path guide is conducted by path guide means 2 (CRT, operation panel and the like) by using the measured present position. On the other hand, tunnel position storage means 3 (external memory and the like) stores a tunnel position on map coordinates. Tunnel position detecting means 4 (GPS receiver and the like) detects the entry of a vehicle into a tunnel. Then, by correcting the assumed position by present position correcting means 5 (CPU and the like) based on a tunnel position, effective path guide can be performed. |
