The invention takes as its departure point wire-hook connections for conveying bands and flat belts, in particular for the bands of round balers, the wire hooks enclosing a transverse bar which produces the actual connection. In order to eliminate impact-type loadings of the hook connection when the bands or belts are circulating and, correspondingly, also the undesired noises usually involved therewith, the wire hooks are provided, according to the invention, with a viscous plastic sheathing. Preferably, said sheathing is connected in a fixedly adhering manner to the wire hooks, which consist of steel.
