The outlet box (1) has a conductor entry (25) for an electrical cable, plug sockets (13) for the insertion of an equipment plug and plug entry openings (21) located in front of them. Provided in front of the plug sockets (13) is a coding plate (16) in which the plug entry openings (21) are constructed and which can be repositioned with respect to the plug sockets (13) for optional plug-in contact making in at least two different positions (Figure 1).
