PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic sensitive element, which has no Barkhausen noise and characteristics of which are not made unstable and deteriorated due to an intermediate layer, by laminating a pair of soft magnetic thin-films, at least one of which has a magnetoresistance effect, through a silver thin-film. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic layers 4 and 5, at least one of which has a magnetoresistance effect, are laminated through a conductive intermediate layer 3Ag, thus constituting a magnetic sensitive element 2A. The intermediate layer 3Ag is organized of a silver thin-film selected in 5-5000Angstrom where magnetostatic interaction according to the Coulomb's law dominantly works. The magnetic layers 4 and 5 are selected so that the quantities of flux of both magnetic layers 4 and 5 coincide by selecting saturation magnetic flux density, thickness, etc. Silver employed in the conductive intermediate layer 3A has no properties in which a solid solution is generated among silver and Fe, Ni, Co constituting the MR magnetic layers 4, 5, thus deteriorating no magnetic characteristics even through heat treatment in the manufacturing process of the MR magnetic sensitive element. |
